And when Peter Laitinen, a 32-year employee of the Federated Co-operatives sawmill in Canoe, BC goes shopping for new mill equipment, he looks for these same principles in his suppliers. That is why he and his staff have chosen to work with Iggesund Tools.

We have installed Iggesund Tools’ Variable Geometry Headsin our canter and the results have been impressive. We have broken our past production records and increased throughputand accuracy, reduced surging, and improved recovery. In fact, we estimate that our log throughput has increased by 500 to 600 logs per shift, which translates into an average production increase of 7 million board feet every year. Additionally, since installing the Iggesund heads, our lumber has a smoother finish with fewer knot tear outs, and we are producing better quality chips, with less pins and fines.
