Iggesund
Tools can trace its roots all the way back to 1685. That is when an ironworks was established beside the Iggesund River
in Sweden,
a plant that was later to change its name to Iggesunds Bruk.
The mill continued to produce iron for more than 250 years.
In more recent times, Iggesunds Bruk has produced
sawn timber products, pulp for paper and board production,
as well as the production of knives, saw blades and debarking
tools. On September 1, 1983, the tools division was reorganized
into an independent, family-owned company called Iggesund
Tools AB.
Today, Iggesund Tools is the worlds leading
supplier of knife-based systems for the pulp and sawmill industries
and debarking tools for sawmill applications.
The company develops, manufactures and
sells its products and services via own companies in Sweden,
Norway, Finland, Germany, France, the United States and Canada.
